About the illustrator

Anita designed this set of dental coloring pages with anxious children in mind.

Her goal was to create something that would bring kids back to the joy, expression, and calm that comes from coloring and being creative - and ultimately, encourage kids to spend less time using electronic devices.

She hopes these coloring pages help dentists and hygienists in their quest to promote healthy, happy smiles.

Anita has worked as a graphic designer and illustrator for almost 25 years. Her illustrations have been featured on wrapping paper, gift bags, greeting cards, fabric, home decor, and other products featuring holiday themes. Her specialty is design for children.

Her illustrations have been featured on products by American Greetings, Bealls, Bundt, Crayola, C.R. Gibson, Five Below, The Gift Wrap Company, Girl Scouts of America, Haynes Besco Group, Isotoner, JCPenney, Jeep, Joann, Joe Boxer, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Marcel Shurman, Office Depot, Papyrus, Target, Walmart, and more.

Since kindergarten, Anita dreamed of being an artist. After high school, she attended Mount Allison University in Canada where she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She then moved to New York City to attend Parsons School of Design where she earned a degree in Fashion Design.

Born and raised in Nova Scotia, Anita now lives in beautiful Cochrane, Alberta, Canada, where she enjoys minimalist painting, hiking in the mountains, coffee breaks, meditation, and spotting wildlife out and about in nature.
